 Red with blood.
Red with blood.
Hi guys, I managed to finish Чтение this spooky novel because Хэллоуин is coming. So, here is my review on Bram Stoker's horror classic.

The Story

The format is like a journal, chronicling the events of the story and the history of Count Dracula, whom he claimed to be a descendant of Attila the Hun. It was a bloodthirsty and chilling novel that I could not go to sleep in the end!
I also feel sorry for Lucy Westenra, having to die so young and to become a vampire all thanks to Count Dracula. Prompting Jonathan Hawker, Dr. фургон, ван Helsing and Mina to retaliate by killing the Count.

The Characters

The Название character is really fascinating, because he was based on a Romanian Prince name Vlad III of Wallachia (famously known as Vlad the Impaler). He gained reputation by impaling his victims and dining with them, it was such a gruesome site!
Lucy was seen as a sympathetic character because she was turn into a vampire and died later on in the story, I always feel bad that my сердце cries for her when Чтение the story.
Mina was nearly turn into a vampire, until the count was killed. Thus releasing her from the curse!
Finally, Dr. фургон, ван Helsing was a very interesting character, he got me fascinated into vampire folklore. He's a Dutch doctor who travels to Amsterdam frequently and is very reliable.

This is Halloween!

So, do Ты agree with my review? Enjoy your spooky Хэллоуин this year!
 He has arrived.

Alan Weisman
2007-2008
St. Martin’s Press

– A fascinating eco-thriller … Gripping

The simple but irresistible premise of Alan Weisman's The World Without Us - what would happen to the planet if human beings simply disappeared - lit up imaginations even as it ignited controversy around the world.

Weisman's "thought experiment" examines what would happen in both the immediate and distant future to the land, the animals, the oceans, our cities, our art, and all manner of things we take for granted if we were no longer here. Would the seas again teem with fish? Would our concrete jungles crumble...

Daniel J. Levitin, 2006, 320 pages

Why human beings make and enjoy Музыка is, in Levitin’s telling, a delicious story. In this unprecedented meeting of art and science, rocker-turned-neuroscientist Daniel J. Levitin explores the connection between Музыка – its performances, its composition, how we listen to it, why we enjoy it – and the human brain.

Taking on prominent thinkers who argue that Музыка is nothing еще than an evolutionary accident, Levitin argues that Музыка is fundamental to our species, perhaps even еще so than language. ‘This Is Your Brain On Music’ is an ear-opening,...
