I would never help a family member by burning or hiding evidence to help them evade the law because no one has the right to take the life of no one! If my family member committed a crime I would never help them no matter if they were there for me or not because they have no rights to kill anyone or commit any type of crime, Because we need to think bout how the victim's family feels (put ourselves in their place, how would we feel if it was our family member who was killed? We would want justice and revenge for our loved ones, so that's how we need to think when a family member commits a crime) and anyone who can't think that way seriously is wrong and doesn't have feelings at all to go on and help someone no matter who they are to them, evade the law. It's wrong in every way period.
