Who is Severus Snape's biggest enemy towards Lily Potter?

It doesn't really matter whether Severus made a mistake или not. If he had never сказал(-а) anything to Voldemort, Voldemort would never have known about the Prophecy. There were three choices. #1) Severus chose to tell his Master what he'd heard. #2) Voldemort chose to kill the Potters (and thereby mark Harry as his own destroyer). #3) Pettigrew chose to betray them.

I won't argue with that.

Actually, there were four choices--#4 being Severus choosing to take responsibility for his actions, and feel remorse for what he did. The other two were never man enough to do that.

It does matter in many ways a deliberate act with for knowledge of the intended target (especially that of a friend is to add on вверх of the offense detrail) Severus knew not whom would be inturprited as the intended. Just as permeditated and accident in the courts makes a difference. Worst of all he paid as fully as if he were Pettigrew with his life. The level of justice in that is unbalanced.

I believe it was Severus himself. It definatly destroyed him when Voldemort interpreted the prophecy to be about Lily. But I believe he repaid his debt to her by protecting her son...

Remus was the only member of the Mauraders that was ever even close to decent to Sev, though, and I can't see Remus Lupin ever being that petty of childish. As for Sirius (heh heh), I don't know that he was emotionally mature enough for an actual relationship with a woman, let alone compete with his best friend for one. Consider also that he spent 12 years in Azkaban for crimes he didn't commit...he was pretty emotionally stunted. That explains one of the reasons why he continued to bully Severus after his escape. If he had lived long enough to 'grow up', there might have been some kind of...I don't know..."acknowledgement of guilt" from him to Severus. Would have been nice.

I agree with Ты about Sirius, I didn't mention, but yeah, I agree completely. I also agree that he very well may have had a sexual interest in Lily, but that's not a desire for Любовь (and not something he's admit to Harry...could Ты just SEE that? I wanted to do your Mom, Harry...ROFLMMFAO!) As for James...(being catty now) It's my heartfelt feeling that while they were there at Hogwarts all Lily was to James was a trophy. A feather in his cap. He was able to take something else away from Severus, something precious, something he treasured. It was just another way for James to torment Severus. Just MHO. :p

i think james loved lily and she was not just a trophy for him или a way to tourchure snape. no sirius was never interested in lily! they were like family. he would never think of lily that way. same with ramus. they never liked her like that

@ loverofthehearts so Ты think Severus wouldn't have had any rivals if for Lily's afections if James wasn't in the picture?
