What Dex and Rachel don’t know until Dex talks to his father Dex Thaler II (Geoff Pierson) is that his wedding to Darcy will make his dying mother Bridget Thaler (Jill Eikenberry) happy and that’s why Dex ends his affair with Rachel. Unknown to both of them, Darcy is having her own affair with Marcus (Steve Howey) who happens to be Dex’s best friend. Despite ending their affair, Dex tries to contact Rachel numerous times even Показ up at her apartment while Darcy is staying there for a sleepover leading Rachel to lie and say it’s Ethan who ends up moving to Лондон for a job.
Ethan finally confesses his feelings to Rachel despite knowing Dex has her сердце and always did. After coming back from Лондон in an attempt not to think about Dex and Darcy’s upcoming wedding, Rachel finds Dex on her doorstep where he tells her he called off the wedding. They go into her apartment and are about to make out when Darcy knocks on her door.
As Darcy’s outside waiting for Rachel to open the door, Dex has found himself a hiding place. Rachel opens the door for Darcy who explains how Dex called off the wedding but she doesn’t care since she’s been having an affair with Marcus and is pregnant with his child. She explains that she’s going to need her now еще than ever due to her pregnancy. Darcy leaves and then comes back having spotted Dex’s jacket. Rachel tries to lie but Darcy doesn’t buy it stating he had it on earlier. After Dex comes out of his hiding spot, all hell breaks loose. She tells Rachel, “I hate you. I never want to see
