Well, Gulp is just completely braindead. Crush is that, but also very ugly.

Well I don't think either is ugly. I think they're kind of cute (I'd probably think different if they were in a different animation type). Overall despite what the manual said, I think that Crush is slightly smarter than Gulp. After all, Crush isn't the one who ate the Ripto's scepter and in ETD (Not that I care for it that much) Crush did seem more aware of things than Gulp did.
