Surpr1zzm33 picked Lisa Simpson (The Simpsons):
Dexter from "Dexter's laboratory", Adrian Monk from "Monk", almost every character on "The Big Bang Theory" (especially Sheldon), both Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from "The X-files", Willow Rosenberg and Rupert Giles from "Buffy, the vampire slayer", Malcolm from "Malcolm in the middle" and some others I can't remember right now.

Priscilita22 picked Peter Bishop (Fringe):
Sheldon is incredibly smart, and Raj, Howard and Leonard are too. They are especially smart in their areas of knowledge, in Sheldon's case he does know everything there is to know (and probably more) about experimental physics.

But Sheldon would be the obvious choice, since he does remind us in every scene how much smarter than the rest of humanity he is haha.
I choose Peter to vary a bit from the obvious choice and because he is really smart intellectually but also socially (something Sheldon lacks haha). I mean the guy faked a degree, pretended to be a professor at MIT, and actually got away with it for a while(!!).
