So i just finish Чтение Mockingjay and i have to say it was amazing. Not completely what i wanted but amazing in its own way.
I would like to say that i talked to my grandpa about World War 2 right before i finish the book so that might have had an affect on my opinion a little.

But anyways, I really liked this book because i'm really into war and stuff and this book pretty much reveled what war is like without sugar coating it a lot. And i know some people didn't like it because they would have wanted the book to be еще focused on Katniss choosing Peeta или Gale, but this is not Twilight. Its about WAR, fighting for whats right and much еще then just a Любовь story. Beside all that, i really enjoyed the book.

I loved the book completely, because i didn't expect much so when i read it, all my expectations were met. And i enjoyed the book completely. But there are some issues i have to bring up.
What i didn't like about the book was how slow it went in the beginning and middle and then rushed through towards the end. And how everyone died off so quickly, especially with Finnick's and Prim's death. To me, i felt like they just died and nothing more.

Other then that, i was completely amazed by the book, especially the focus on War and what it can do to a person, especially to kids and teenagers. I was also really fascinated by Coin, it had me constantly thinking if she was really on the rebels side или just wanted power all to herself. Another element i liked in the story was when Peeta was hijacked. I know it was a really sad and сердце wrenching moment, but it was a great twist and it showed that not everything goes the way we expect it, especially during war.

So there wasn't much for me to dislike, other then some slow parts and how some people died. But everything was brilliant. Totally made me cry as i finished up the last couple of pages in the book.

Another thing i would like to address is how some people completely dislike the book because it was еще focused on War then Katniss's Любовь interest. This is not Twilight!!! It's еще then that, its about the struggle for survival and freedom from oppressing dictators.

And i'm sorry if the last part offended anyone.

ravenclawgirl5 I agree with the whole "This is not Twilight" thing. The Hunger Games is more action than romance, so it has to focus on the action. I totally cried at the end, too!

Twilightroxz11 What happens in the end? Can someone tell me?! I really want to know!!!

BrownIAngel I agree this is not Twilight. I loved The Hunger Games and all the new character that you fall in love with and feel horrible sad that they had to die.. I would have love a little more about what happen to haymitch but I cried my eyes out happy and sad

Monrose I really hated the book until the end. That was the only good part. I can understand why she chose to write the story that way, but I still think she should've focused more on the choice between Peeta and Gale, because in the end, that's what's make most of us interested. The love triangle. Her relationship with Gale ended so fast.

jennabug121 Ye that didnt make sense she just let him go she didnt even try to stop him and now Gale is with me so take that KAtniss even though I love the heck out of you!

maddy5497 Yes, I completley agree that it would ruin the whole story if it was like Twilight. But anyway I really loved the book. But one thing I didn't particularly like is when Katniss became confused. It made her charcter watery and undecided. With all the action goin on in the story, it would be smart to have a stable character.Yeah, yeah I know that it was only written like that to be realistic, but thats just my opinion. I hated that the ending was so rushed! I really didnt see the point in having Finnick die. Probaly the only reason Prim died would be to make it so Katniss would sorta blame Gale for Prims death. That way she would up with Peeta. So, I guess i get that. But, I don't see why Finnick had to die. I wanted her to end up with Peeta but her and Gale should have at least talked or somthing. Yes, I admit I almost started crying too! Other than that I really loved the book and the whole series!=D

rooford409 Why do you keep saying its about war though? Its not. Its about the whole revliution of the districts.

missmaniac Definitely agree with you. The main focus is the revolution and the Districts trying to overcome the Capitol, not the whole love aspect with Katniss, Gale, and Peeta. It did go into it though, and that was solved, but it wasn't the main point of the story. Personally, I didn't mind that there were slow parts, but the ending did seem a bit rushed. I do wish they went more into the deaths, but I think it was showing how it did happen very quickly and then the aftermath brought the deaths more into the light by showing how they affected Katniss.

disneyworld007 You know, i really enjoy both series: The Hunger Games, and Twilight. But, it is true that people shouldn't be mad at Suzanne Collins, for not including more about the "love triangle". It is NOT like twilight, how the whole thing is basically revolving around Bella's choice. The Hunger Games from the start, has been all about surviving, action, and freedom (sort of). Anybody who was reading the final book, should not have been expecting something mushy gushy. They should've expected a hard out cold gory war, for heaven's sakes shes raping up the entire series!

vickij I spent all day yesterday reading "MockingJay" (was up to 1 a.m.). I was terribly disappointed in the ending for several reasons. Regardless if Gale had an initial idea of the double bomb, Katniss should know better than ever doubt Gale's motive's. He risked his life countless times for her family. He was not privvy to what might be done with this bomb. And their last conversation was unfulfilling. The author should have offered up more substance. It was hollow and without merit and the whole unraveling questionable. The entire ending just petered out and left me wanting more information. I was never a fan of Peeta's, but appreciated the comfort he could bring to Katniss in the second book, but never bought into real love and belonging. Any type of bond was purely out of joint pain from the arenas. Not the deep friendship and dependability she had with Gale. I definitely wished she actually chose Gale, not allowing the narrative to choose, having him leave to District 2 for some fancy job. That seemed lame and improbable to me. In my alternate ending, Prim and Finnick would still be alive, Katniss would retire to District 12 with Gale, and Peeta would've been chosen the President of Panem. All the talk throughout the story of how well Peeta could move people with his words, and that he was so much a better person than anyone makes him a logical choice for the leader of this new country. Perhaps he could've had Delly as his first lady.....I enjoyed the first and second books, and it was all I could do to not stay home from work to read the third. So, the wind definitely went out of my sail at the ending and am still left wishing for Gale and Katniss's happily ever after.....
