There is some blood but nothing to graphic. I think it would be okay unless they are sensitive towards that sort of thing.

My husband and I decided after reading "Mockingjay" that we won't even let our children think about reading them until they are 15. Even then we will have to discuss whether they are mature enough or not. Heck, I don't even think my 18 year old sister is mature enough to really grasp it all.

It honestly depends on the person. I read them when I was 12, but that's only because I read a lot myself. If you consider yourself a 'mature reader' then yes I would recommend it.

Every person is different. Some will be mature enough, some will not be.

It all depends on the child. My 10 year-old self would have handled it well; at that age, I was already reading books that surpassed that 'rating' level of content ("Lolita", "A Child Called 'It'", "Henry V", etc).

It also depends on their interests; THG is adventure, but it's also very political in nature and I think that would go over the head of the average kid.

HAHA its not for me i already read them. My little brother who is currently reading a book about dragons decided he wanted to read them because his friend is. I don't really think he should but i wanted to see if people would think that a kid that age would really get it.

I'm going to be 12 next month and I have read all three (and most of my friends are reading them too). I would reccomend it if you arent imature or like sensetive and stuff. But, I feel like I'm about 15-16 maturity wise and i hate when people think of me as too young just because I am age wise. ( if you can follow that cuz its just confusing lol)

My sister's nine and she just started reading them yesterday. It really depends on how mature you are (she is super mature).

A bit too much violence even for a mature 10 year old I admit I was not very mature when I read this book. The whole concept and theme of this book based on a disutopian society is a bit too much

It is an important story to tell and it is something that people need to understand.
