Okay, So I finished this book today a few hours назад and I’m still very much angry. Why, Ты ask? well because it turned out nothing as I imagined. and yes, that is a bad thing. The book starts off where Shadow Souls left off, (spoilers for Shadow Souls) Damon is human. Now, I imagined that this would play a really big part of the book. That he would stay human for a good portion of the book, and that Damon was, Oh i don’t know, sick. Because anything is possible when Ты were Вампиры turned human by a цветок sent by a Kitsune....

ELANA WALKED UP TO THE KITCHEN, JOHN WAS LAYING DOWN THERE. ELEAN QUICKLY RAN UP TO HIM.

“WHATS GOING ON?” JEREMY SAID. HE FROZE IN THE ENTERANCE STARINNG ATE KATHERINE AND THEN ELENA....

    Three nights and counting. Stefan hadn’t come back to the boarding house and even Damon was getting concerned. Damon didn’t Показать his emotions often but when he did, Ты knew it it was real. The worry buried in his eyes was making Elena jittery. She tried calling Stefan’s cell phone a number of times, each one just rang and rang until the voice mail picked up. After a few calls, the voice mail began to pick it up automatically.
    She had to keep going to school though. Jenna could stand her ‘staying at bonnie или Caroline’s’ all the time...

Caroline and Tyler watched Bonnies house collapse to the ground and they ran towards it.
Jeremy was stuck underneath the bricks and Tyler helped him out. “Are Ты okay? Ты need to go to the hospital?”
But Jeremy shook his head. “Elena and Damon are still down there”

Jeremy and Jenna were standing in Bonnies living room and Jeremy remembered the scene. “Bonnie, you’re freezing. What’s going on?” he asked deeply concerned. Bonnie looked him in the eyes and hers looked as cold as her body felt. “Look, Jeremy, the light’s off because it’s hurting my eyes, I’m wearing so many clothes because I’m freezing. And I’m covering my ears because I’m having a terrible headache and I just can’t take your lousy crap right now. So, I repeat, can Ты get lost?” “Let me help you” Jeremy begged. “You can’t help me. I can only help myself”...

Elena lay in her bed, but it had taken Stefan two hours to reassure her Damon was alright.
“I brought him to Ric’s loft” he had said. “If I would’ve brought him here Bonnie would’ve found him in no time. Ты can go see him tomorrow. I promise”
“Where’s my phone?” she asked shaking. “I want to call him. I want to hear him say he’s okay"
Stefan gave Elena’s phone and she dialed Damon’s number. It went straight to voicemail. “He’s not picking up” Elena сказал(-а) scared. “Something happened”
