No denying that Sawyer loved Kate, but I never felt like she felt the same way. She was mostly just fighting lust IMO. I suppose you could argue that she did love him in the cage sex scene, but she did just think he was going to die and she did want to save his life, so I dunno...I pretty much couldn't care less about Jate vs. Skate, but I've always thought it was about Jate. I mean Jack obviously always loved Kate, and she was drawn to him always.

This exactly. I for sure think that Kate and Sawyer share a bond, and I know she loved him for a time but her love for Jack was constant and never wavering.
I think Kate is not invested enough in the romance with Sawyer. I’m not convinced that she is there romantically. I think, romantically, her heart’s more with Jack. That’s my own personal opinion. –Evie (season three)
Yeah, this one is pretty clear. I think Sawyer acted a little desperately at times cause he knew that Kate would never love him as much as he loved her or Jate loved each other. I was a Skater for the first four seasons and then I fell in love with Suliet. So I have never considered myself a Jater and if it wasn't for Suliet I would probably still ship Skate. But to me it was always pretty clear that Kate loved Jack more than Sawyer, otherwise she wouldn't have chosen Jack in the end.
