She сказал(-а) that Stephanie Meyer once mentioned something, she сказал(-а) that the blood is considered "dead" или something like that, maybe because it isn't in her veins...That's the best answer I got...I hope it was helpful...Oh, and about the smell, well I think he can smell it, but I'm not sure...

I agree with what has already been сказал(-а) about it being 'dead blood' или what not; but anyways it wouldn't matter after she was changed because Вампиры don't get their period :p
