Have a Polynesian Princess in you bursting to get out? Tomorrow afternoon Walt Disney World will hold auditions for female performers who will help bring to life Disney’s next Princess, Moana, from the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios feature film – Moana.

Moana is a bit of a departure as far as Disney Princesses go. She won’t be defined by a romantic relationship, but rather by how well she’s able to complete the quest she sets out on. In the film she is a strong teenage female with a unique relationship with the sea. Her mission is nothing less than to save her people and restore their connection with the ocean.

Disney is specifically looking for look-alike performers to play Moana in the parks and resorts. You should be 5’3″ to 5’5″ with an athletic build. You should have lots of energy, but show compassion, spirit, cleverness, and determination. It probably doesn’t hurt to have a huge smile and expressive face either. Some dance ability is probably a help too.

Sign in starts at 3:30 and auditions start at 4pm. Late applicants will not be accepted. Do not arrive any earlier than 3pm either (this is a big no-no). You must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the United States. Wear comfortable clothing and shows that will allow you a full range of motion. Work is expected to begin in the next 2-3 months. Can’t make it to tomorrow’s audition, there’s a second audition in a week. So there’s no excuse not to audition if you live within driving distance of Walt Disney World.

Please do not select an applicant that appears to be a full-grown adult like the one which was chosen for Elena. Both of these characters are young women even children. There are many younger looking adult women with big brown eyes and a great smile that you could select. Of course she needs to look Polynesian.
