It's been ten years. Ten years of pain. Ten years of tears. Ten years of revenge plotting, yet doing nothing. Today on my 16th birthday... the day, ten years ago, she sacrificed her life for me. The день I Остаться в живых my only sister.

*Flashback*

"Stay here!" She whispered to me as she placed me in a closet.

"Don't Переместить until Dad is gone."

"But Kelsey!" I yelped as Dad walked in.

"Shh! Don't move!" She repeated.
I heard shouting but I couldn't quite make it out, so I peeked through the slightly opened doors.

BANG!
The sound of a gun went off and I saw my sister fall to the floor, bleeding. She tried to crawl away but was yanked up by her auburn hair by Dad and was thrown against the wall.

BANG!!
Again she was shot, this time in the side. "WHY! Why are Ты doing this! You'll never find Blade! She's gone!" Kelsey screamed as blood dripped from her mouth.

"You want to know why!?" Dad retorted "because she has abilities no other normal human has!"
This time she built up the strength to fight back. She stood up, grabbed the нож she hid on her ремень, пояс, пояса and ran at him and attacked, which resulted in her being thrown right in front of the closet I was in.

She sat up and looked at me, as she covered the bloody wound on her stomache, she uttered "Blade... it's all a game. It's hide-and-seek and Dad is it."

And with that she fell to the ground. Tears formed in my eyes and streamed down my face like waterfalls. She protected me and died for me and sat there and did nothing. I whispered so low it was barely audible, "Kelsey, I will avenge you... I pinky swear!" Then all of a sudden dad turned and saw me in the closet.

"There Ты are!" he chuckled. I panicked as he walked towards the door. Shutting my eyes i thought of the happiest place I could remember. After about five минуты of having my eyes shut I realized i wasn't dead! A cool evening breeze blew across my face as I opened my eyes, then I noticed I was at the звезда City park under the дерево my sister read stories to me. How? How did I get from sure death, to the park? Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, 'those abilities I have that no other normal human has' is that I'm able to teleport!

Thoughts filled my head:
"I'm hungry."
"Look at that smug little brat!"
"I wonder what time it is."
Except these weren't my thought they were other peoples!

"Awesome!" I screamed "I can read minds!"
Then something else hit me. I'm alone. Kelsey's dead and I'm alone! I fell to the ground crying again. "I have to go home. I have to go back to Dad" I sighed

**************FLASHFORWARD**************

Yup ten years! And three of those years were abuse and pain from my dad.
I walked up to the apartment and went in. Arriving at my room I attempted to open the door. Locked.
"Dammit!!" I hissed as I hit my forehead on the door. "Ow!" Maybe I should use my powers, but I can't just teleport inside 'cause I haven't fully mastered my powers, so if I attempt it, I could end up somewhere I don't want to be. And I guess Mom isn't home, probably at work. Sitting down, I decided to think. About ten минуты later I heard my name. "Blade?" I looked up.

"Yea?" I replied not knowing who I was even talking to.

"It's me! David!"

"David! How are you?"
David is one of my best friends,he has dark black hair and flawless green eyes, we used to like each other but now... well right now I don't know anymore!!

"What are doing out here?"

"Oh... uhm i don't have my key...”

"Oh well if Ты want to, my mom is cooking supper; Ты can eat with us."

"Sure!"
I was hungry, alone, my mom wouldn't be Главная for about another 4 hours, and something about David made my сердце skip a beat.
We entered David's small apartment, where his mom was cooking and his dad was Чтение the newspaper.
The parents looked at me and smiled so I smiled back.

Mrs. Collins, David’s mom, chimed," David is this

David blushed "Mooooom!"

I giggled.

"What? Haha just come eat, the pork chops are ready."

After ужин David led me to the couch, where we sat down and watched T.V. Then I noticed papers spread out on the glass coffee table.
"David, is that your homework?"

David sighed "Yeah, but I don"t really get it."

"Well I can help you."

David's face lit up. "Okay!"

After about 5 hours of laughing and homework I realized it was 12 o'clock.

"Uh David I have to go! Thank Ты though!" I stuttered.

"What why!?" He replied. David grabbed my hand. "Please don't go! I had fun! Just stay, Ты can sleep in my room, I'll sleep on the couch!"

I sighed, I wanted to stay but i had to get Главная and tend to Mom. "David, I have to help my mom. I had tons of fun, I'll visit Ты tomarrow."

He sighed "Okay, haha, pinky swear?"

I took a step back.
"Kelsey, I will avenge you... I pinky swear!
Then I relaxed.
"Haha, I pinky swear."

With that I was out the door and at mine. I opened the door.
"Good she's home."

"Mom!?" I called as I entered "are Ты home?"

I called again.

"Mom whe-" but was interrupted.

"Don't Ты mean dad?!" A voice boomed from the darkness...

"Dad...” I mouthed as he grabbed my throat.

He boomed again. “Don’t even think about trying to teleport either 'cause if Ты do... your mother dies..!"
Tears streamed down my face as I saw my mom unconscious on the floor, tied up.
Далее thing I knew I blacked out.

It's been ten years. Ten years of pain. Ten years of tears. Ten years of revenge plotting, yet doing nothing. I guess this long game of hide-and-seek is over 'cause Dad found me.
