Chapter 3-


"Stay wet, minnows!" Lagoon Boy сказал(-а) before following the Dark Knight into the zeta-tubes.

The four girls looked at each other before departing for their individual rooms.

падуб, holly, холли walked in and locked her door. It wasn't that she didn't trust anyone on the Team, it was that she felt insecure leaving her private area, the only place she could be herself, available to anyone.

She knew Бэтмен came in here, and she resented him for it, but she could do nothing about it. Red Revenge seemed to not trust her, but left her to herself.

падуб, holly, холли pulled out a suitcase, knowing the others would fuss at her if she took too long to pack.

падуб, holly, холли decided to pack scarce. She knew Nightwing and Captain Adams would have stealth gear and tech she would need to take along. Stuff that would probably take up a lot of room.

Plus, падуб, holly, холли had the sneaking feeling that she wouldn't be wearing jeans and tank-tops much.

By the time she finished packing, someone was knocking on her door. She opened it to see Red Revenge standing there.

"I suppose I have to let Ты in?" she asked.

"Not necessarily." Revenge replied.

падуб, holly, холли sighed and moved aside, allowing the boy to enter her room. Revenge looked around at the clean, sharp room.

"Neat." he said.

"I try to keep it that way." падуб, holly, холли said.

"What?" Revenge asked.

"My room."

"Your room или yourself?"

"Look, I don't need Ты questioning my--"

"I'm not. I just want Ты to promise to answer me one Вопрос honestly." Revenge said.

падуб, holly, холли raised an eyebrow before sighing and muttering "Fine."

"Why did Ты suddenly Присоединиться my side? Why did Ты not escape from the safe-room? Why-"

"That's three." падуб, holly, холли said, scowling.

"Alright, answer the first one then."

падуб, holly, холли opened her mouth, but Revenge cut her off. "Honestly."

падуб, holly, холли sighed. "When Ты tricked me with that fake robot of Samuel Grant, testing to see if I would kill someone in cold blood, I stopped. I asked myself if I was a cold-blooded killer. If I really needed to work for the Shadows."

"And your answer?" Revenge asked.

"What do Ты think?" падуб, holly, холли replied.

They stood in silence for a while before Revenge spoke. "Brave."

падуб, holly, холли was taken back.

"What?"

"I сказал(-а) that was brave." Revenge said. "You need a сердце of Courage to do something like that."

падуб, holly, холли raised an eyebrow.

Revenge reached up and pulled off his mask.

"You!" падуб, holly, холли exclaimed, stumbling back.

"Yep." Sam сказал(-а) with a smirk. "All along!"

падуб, holly, холли just stared at him opened mouth for a минута before slapping him.

"He-" падуб, holly, холли cut him off, pressing her lips to his. He returned the kiss. They stood there, lips locked until Captain Adam's voice came over the speakers. "Alpha & Beta Squad, Сообщить to the briefing room immediately."

They softly broke apart and Revenge slipped his mask back on. "Let's go." he said. "Oh, and Ты might want to grab your suitcase."

"I had this in a file from before I was Captain Adams." he said. "It fits the mission perfectly. Megan, you'll be Natalie Hand, seventeen год old from Scotland with red hair and brown eyes. You've got an attitude when Ты get mad, but other than that, you're nice."

"Barbara." It was only after Adams сказал(-а) the name of the read-head that падуб, holly, холли noticed Batgirl was missing her mask and cape. "I think Ты suffice perfectly for the role of Sarah Match."

"Cassandra." Wondergirl flinched at her full name. падуб, holly, холли noticed she was wearing a T-shirt and jeans. A strange new look on the blonde-headed amazon.* "You...be a little less enthusiastic."

Conner snorted in the background.

Cassie blushed and took the paper Adams gave her on her character.

Finally, the powerhouse reached Holly. "Holly. You'll receive a slight name change. Hannah Green is a tomboy. I think this fits you." падуб, holly, холли nodded and took the paper.

"I'll leave Ты with Nightwing to equip Ты with gear." Captain Adams said.

Nightwing thanked the power-house and stepped in front of the four girls. Blue Beetle was in the back muttering to himself about army experiments.

"Okay: Since Ты will be undercover in a possibly mind-controlled and hostile environment, you'll obviously get some stealth gear." Nightwing handed each of the four girls a book. "Double tap the spine and it shoots up to three rounds of a toxic dart that can knock out a target."

After handing the girls a few еще pieces of equipment, including explosive ear rings, smoke-bomb perfume, communication watches and earrings, and a dagger hidden in lipstick, Nightwing handed each of the girls the most important piece of gear.

"A utility ремень, пояс, пояса filled with explosives, smoke bombs, toxic gas bombs. Anything Ты would need to escape."

"Birdarangs?" Barbara asked.

Nightwing rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Heh. I took some of the gear from my old Robin utility belt."

"No kidding."
