One does not simply. BRINGING A GUN TO A FIST FIGHT! You Brats need to learn the value of a Honorable Combat. Discipline and Commitment are of utmost importance to the true Warrior. If you have made an agreement towards a sparring of Fists, be prepared to back it up and not be a coward!
Of course, it is another matter entirely if this is a Life or Death struggle or a display of a Warrior's FULL extent (Like Stryker for example). There are various specialities on the battlefield so one can't simply judge.

Pretty much, I find all of them invalid to a certain degree. It mostly depends on the circumstances around them !!!!

Did the character who let herself get kidnapped try to put up a fight or not?

Bc if she didn't try to do anything to help her situation I think that's a valid reason to dislike, albeit not hate, a character.

She allowed herself to get kidnapped because she didn't want her friends to be hurt.. And she rather get kidnapped than seeing one of them potentially dead.
