If I write rants, I'm usually able to control myself and not post them. However, a Последнее troll user pushed me off the deep end, and now I have to force someone to listen to this one.
I hate elitists.
This is obviously a general statement, but this is the Аниме spot, so let's narrow it down.
I hate elitist Аниме fans.
Since I've become a member of the Аниме fanbase on Fanpop, I've come to realize these people are my least Избранное part of anything anime. Here are some examples of these people, in case Ты don't know what I mean, and how to explain to them why their douchiness is extremely unfair.
"I've seen еще Аниме than you, so I'm еще of a Фан than you."
Has it ever occured to Ты that I may have started watching, say, a год ago, while you've practically been watching since Ты were born?
"I've been watching Аниме longer than you, therefore I appreciate it more."
Well, excuse me if it took me longer to get into fucking off on the internet. Pardon me for not having an otaku brother/sister. Sorry my parents thought Аниме was too violent and wouldn't let me watch it as a kid. Just because I started watching it later doesn't mean I don't like it just as much as you.
"I watch Аниме at a faster rate than you, therefore I'm the better fan."
Ты probably memorize every line by rote too. Maybe Ты should try, I don't know, actually enjoying an Аниме for once?
"I've watched еще obscure Аниме than Ты have, so I have a better understanding of Аниме in general than you."
No, Ты do not understand Аниме in general еще than I, Ты only understand those specific obscure Аниме еще than I. Because I've never seen them.
"I support the franchise by buying all the DVD's. Ты don't. What kind of Фан are you?"
Okay, under some conditions, I would agree with you. But have Ты ever heard of circumstances, jerk? Some people can't afford anime; it's kind of *laughs* expensive. Oh, and is buying all of the DVD's really necessary?
Whenever I hear someone say one of these things, или a variation of them, I just want to strangle myself. However, all that was only leading up to my LEAST Избранное category of Аниме Фан elitists: Sub/dub elitists. Though I hate both equally, sub elitists are by far еще common, so I'm focusing my rage on them.
"Only people who watch Аниме in sub are true Аниме fans."
Ugh, nothing is еще guaranteed to make me lose it. If Ты don't like dubs, I honestly couldn't give a flying fuck, but the минута Ты talk down to other people just because they do, Ты are way out of line. They aren't lesser Аниме fans. They only prefer a different version of the same thing Ты like. Seriously, Ты don't have anything better to do than troll people because they don't share your preference? That is uncalled for.
