Not that I'm scared I'd be hurt- I just have stage fright!

I'm more then happy just being an attendee in the audience.

When I was 16, my family went to see a local magic show and, at the end, I was asked up onto the stage to help out with a trick. I though it was going to be a card trick or something like that, but once I was up there he wheeled out a sawing in half box (one of the proper ones where they pull the two halves apart). I started to look around for an assistant who'd be climbing into the box, but there was no sign of one and he asked me to climb into it instead! I was really nervous, but thought it would be cool to have a go, so I got in and he locked me into it. I didn't feel a thing as he sawed through the box (and me!), and before I knew it I was looking at my own feet sticking out of the other half of the box, which was really weird as I could still feel it as he tickled them! He then put me back together and let me out of the box, and presented me with a certificate saying that as I'd been sawed in half, I was now a member of the "50/50 Club". It was a really cool experience, but I've absolutely no idea how he did it - even when I watch the video of it that my dad shot...

As my hubby is a magician, and I've worked as his assistant since I was 16, I usually get sawed in half by him at least once every week.

Gross. When they remove the box...

My eldest daughter has been obsessed with magic ever since she was five and I got picked out of the audience and sawed in half at a magic show I'd taken her to. Ever since then, we've had to book her favorite magician for her birthday parties. He always ends his shows by getting someone from the audience up on stage with him and sawing them in half in a transparent box. Sometimes it's been one of the other moms there, including my older sister, but more often than not its been me who's ended up being sawed in half. But my daughter is now fourteen and tall enough to fit in the box herself. So this year I arranged with the magician that she'd be the one who got sawed in half - which she totally loved as she'd been wanting to do it for a long time.
