It's kinda disappointing, but we got to see so much great stuff and potiental in season 5 even without a romantic relationship.

Not really. I think it's funny that BL is seen as "high school love" when every other couple in the show is high school love as well (besides the new couples but I don't watch anymore). Yet BL is always kind of looked down upon as being the high school couple. Ridiculous

Yes, I would have preferred if they got too have a relationship when they were older too, but I still appreciate their young relationship too. They were young, but so were Naley and they were crazy in love too.
