Take things back to Rose, the new character introduced in her self in titled episode itself. She was relieved to be the new Любовь interest for Damon long before we actually was due to come across her on the screen, and people were not happy about his new storyline. Although not as much as the outrage Фаны are Показ now, a few people weren't happy. As we saw the story between them progress, we saw one of the most important things that gave us DE Фаны something to relax over - she was well aware, and RESPECTED that he was very much in Любовь with Elena. Rose often mentioned Elena, and the relationship between Damon and her, and she did not once try to harm Elena, after she was with Damon, knowing that he loved her. She understood that between the two of them, it wasn't love, and Rose understood that she was never going to be anything еще for Damon, which also showed when she сказал(-а) she was his 'special friend'. Elena to Damon is obviously еще than a special friend.
Rose also listened to Elena and, doing the best she could, helped her. Through his, Elena and Rose showed kindness towards each other, which Показ mostly during Rose's death, which also leads and brings back Damon to the situation. After the event with Rose, ultimately, it brought THEM CLOSER THAN BEFORE. Elena, after the incident with Jeremy, and telling Damon that she wasn't his friend, showed distance between the two, yet after Rose's death, Elena HUGGED Damon and and acknowledged him as her friend, which was an improvement than it was before, and through the episodes after, they only got closer. If Rose had not been introduced, it may have took them longer to become closer themselves, which shows that although us Фаны were annoyed at the announcement of Rose at the start, at the end, she was a key part in the story to bring Elena and Damon closer, and improve their story.
The секунда time Damon had a Любовь interest, the DE Фаны once again freaked out once again, even if it was simply one episode later, people still were not happy about this new Любовь interest, straight after Rose, and this was most likely due to how close Elena and Damon got at the end of the episode with Rose's death. But the one important thing that remained the same with this new 'love interest' is that the only reason Damon stayed with them, или even started with them in the beginning, was not for Love, but, to but it quite simply, a sleeping buddy. The first thing he did with both woman was sleep with them, and he didn't feel any Любовь towards them, no true Любовь или crushes, just sex, and for Andie, to simply feed on, which shows furthermore that she was never really a Любовь interest.
In the episode of Andie's death, however, the ending with DE was not as close, which may be what some of the Фаны may be worrying about, but here is why Ты shouldn't worry. Although we did not get a close scene at the end of the season première, the Далее episode, it showed Elena Показ concern for Damon, and at the end of the episode, we got that scene with the face touching, that caused most of us to go ape, including ourself. This is just еще proof that Andie's story and place in Damon's life, although not as easy to spot as Rose's, has also improved DE's story.
I understand why everyone was freaking out, and some still are. I was very angry at first, fuming, but when I began to think, I realised that this new 'love interest' is just most likely going to be a sex buddy for Damon, that will most likely improve Damon and Elena's story all together. We've been patient so far, and remember, good things come to those who wait.
And most importantly, this 'spoiler' might not even be true.
The sun fell on Amber’s face and she woke up by the heat of it. She rubbed her eyes, trying to orientate, as she saw a man sitting Далее to her. He looked familiar. As she tried to recall she felt an insistent pain in her neck. She lay her hand on it, to see what it was. “I bit you, that’s why you’re in pain” Stefan explained. Amber looked at him. “Who are you?” she asked, crawling backwards. Stefan reached out his hand. “I’m here to help you” he сказал(-а) softly. Amber shook her head. “No, stay away from me!” she сказал(-а) terrified. Stefan didn’t Переместить an inch. “You need help. You’re in transition, it’s not a nice feeling if Ты don’t feed anytime soon. I bet you’re starving” he said. Amber shook her head heavily as her stomach rattled. “I’m going home” she сказал(-а) with a breaking voice. “Leave me alone!” She scribbled up and staggered away from Stefan.
