Damon & Elena Article: Stefan is so magnanimous

He shits on Elena after she becomes a vampire and made her feel like a broken toy because he couldn’t Любовь her as a vampire.
He slut shames her for sleeping with Damon and used that as the reason for their breakup.
He declared that she didn’t know what he was like when he was not in Любовь with her.
He wanted to have every memory of Elena erased.
He acted like Damon had no part in Elena’s life after Elena chose him again.
He treated her oh, so well last season and this season that it was a complete shock that she had feelings for Damon.
And now, being the wonderful and PERFECT man that he is, he might- just might- come down off of his Holy трон and stoop down to take Elena back if she comes crawling back to him after everything she has done to him. How is he even thinking about the possibility of Elena going back to him, let alone deciding if he’ll take her back?

What is this guy even, for real?

loveofdelena I know right??!!! what a self absorbed prick!!! one minute he's treating her like shit, then, as soon as he finds out about her love for damon, he suddenly starts behaving like the holier than tho asshole that he is!! I mean talk about selfish!!!

Tiffyangel77 It's got to be his way or the high way -_- Ugh.. When he starts to man up will be the day pigs fly. He also needs some consequences for all that shit too. She just took him back after all that and i still can't believe it. I just love how most of the characters have had at least some character development or a redemption arc.. What has he had so far? :/

delenasalvatore @Tiffyangel77, I blame Stefan's painful lack of character development on his relationship with Elena. When he was around her in seasons 1-2 (and some of 3), he basically acted as an extension of her. He was at his most interesting when he was apart from her at the beginning of S3, wanted revenge on Klaus, and fell off the bunny blood diet in S1. All times when he wasn't acting in accordance with Elena's wishes.

I'm new to Fanpop and don't normally write essays on fictional characters but I was browsing around and have been Чтение a lot lately about how Elena just needs to suck it up, stop crying/being whiny over killing Connor, just go for it with Damon already and I'd just like to write my own feelings on the matter.

First off, I am a Delena fan. It's actually what got me into the series, which just happened this past summer. I clicked on a song on Youtube and it happened to be a Damon/Elena Музыка vid (A Thousand Years by Christina Perri - very fitting I think).
