Ты know I hate when people say that classic princesses are not good role Модели and all these, Ты have never see a person who like cooking and cleaning, cause I like that, and stop judje them, Ты judje them and compare them with things that exist only in the 21th century and with a negative point of view, a selfish point of view, Ты see the critics about them who are very negative, cause that's their work to find negative things, even when they doesn't exist, Ты say they are only cooking and cleaning and waiting for a prince to come, Ты know they don't live in the 21th century! In those ages Ты felt in Любовь with somone and marry him, или Ты get married with someone Ты didn't even Любовь and the point is that Ты have to Переместить on and see in which century they live. Also, I hate when Ты say that have no personality. They have!. For example Aurora is graceful, sophisticated and cherful but also naive and insecure, she hates that her "aunts" doesn't leave her to meet anyone, but she accepts it and she plays only 18 минуты in her film, how can we learn much еще about her? Золушка is kind and gentle and she loves her prince, and I don't agree with those who say that she didn't do anything to be with him, how can she go to the ball without carriage или dress? Snow White knew that she had to work hard to take that she wanted, and how could she go and say "I Любовь you" to the prince, knowing that the Queen might kill her and she was only 14, she was so innocent. And stop doing all this, Snow White is the first full leight Дисней movie, so respect and one of Walt Disney's movie and all those artists worked for her (for example for Ariel many years after Snow White worked 450 people and they needed 3 years, Ты can imagine for Snow White). And also Snow White is a good role model, she teaches us to help others and be good, and gentle, to don't take thinks from other and all those who Ты say that the prince loved her only for her looks isn't true, they met in the beginning of the film and fell in love, also she teaches us that to take that we want we have to do hardwork sometimes (she cooked and cleaned for make the drawfs Любовь her) and also she was always optimistic and she lived her childhoud and didn't want to grow up like the other Дисней princesses, somethink that teaches a lot to the children, also (you can read it and at Дисней wiki too) she was called "the fairest one of all" not only for her look, but and for the purity of her сердце and because she was optimistic, in spite of the Evil Queen's vanity and jealousy, and she loved all animals, and people who Любовь Животные Любовь people too, something that mean that we have to care all people and Животные without judje them. Sorry that I use Aurora a lot but I watched today this movie!

AprilGhost I agree wholeheartedly. Snow White's cooking and cleaning and mother-like nature was a role model for thirties girls, because this was before the hike of working women in World War II. I'm so glad someone put this into words. I used to dislike the classic princesses too until I found out when their movies were released, because times change, and role models for girls in the early 1900s are vastly different for role models for girls in the early 2000s.

disneygirl7 I don't think they are bad role models nor do I hate them, but it is true none of the classical princesses made it into my top 5. I do agree on how you shouldn't hate the classical princesses, but if people do hate them, they must have a good reason. I do personally think classical princesses are better role models than a lot of the renaissance ones, but sometimes maybe it's not because of whether or not they are good role models do people hate them. It might be their personality. Some people may not like their graceful, romantic and gentle personalities and prefer some of the more adventurous and feisty princesses. That's why none of the calssical DPs made it into my personal top 5, because I personally like the more energetic and adventurous ones. Overall, good article!

MaidofOrleans Wonderful article! I completely agree with everything you've said. Though the classic princesses are not at the top of my list, they were (and still are) wonderful role models for young girls. I love their personalities, especially Aurora's, and I look up to them as strong young women.

snowsowhite For me children are the best judjes and they love them, and that means a lot, they are more fair that all those and they see the beauty and the romantism they have! And I think they are good role models and for orphaned children, who doesn't have a mother or father, they make them optimistic, and they were soooo romantic!

shanyuisboss Sorry, but these are not the reasons why people hate the classic princesses. People have their own reasons. I have never really seen that many people say that they hate a classic princess because they think they aren't good role models. People have their own reasons. I don't dislike aurora because of how goos of a role model she is. I think she is a nice role model but I still do not at all like her.

snowsowhite yes, but If they see Disney Princesses echanted tales: follow your dreams, Aurora is a great role model and also I hate all these that they are not good role models, they see everything in a negative way and believe me that disney princesses taught most is to be optimistic, that's why they are good role models!

MalloMar I agree with you about most of this. I always thought that the classic princesses had personalities ( and are, in some ways, relatable) They deserve to be called heroines and are definitely good role models. :)

snowsowhite Yes, they are romantic and I think they could exist, cause in their ages all girls were like them.

AudreyFreak April- what if they weren't from those times though? what's wrong with being like that now? (And I badly wish we had some like that now..) anyway, I agree with all this. I did a role model article once I put Cindy, Snow and Aurora as the top three because I honestly think their attitudes are the most role model worthy.
