Why do people give Ты Благодарности just to leave a message and it has nothing to do with what they gave Ты Благодарности for?

For example: girl123(fake name) gave me Благодарности for my videos-"thanks for adding me!"

that totally wasnt me btw...*looks at username* i Удалить Благодарности like that. *votes for cinders answer*
