Prologue
Madi peered around the corner. Her silky brown hair was up in a high pony. It bounced every time she took a step. She was in Hollywood, California looking for clues.
"Madi, I told you, General is gone! He disappeared!" Cam said. Cam was Madi's partner and potential boyfriend. He had short blonde hair and blue eyes. Cam and Madi were communicating through video watches, an invention that lets Ты talk to another agent while you're in the field.
"I'm telling you, Cam! I've seen him here before! And I'm going to find him!" Madi said. General was PC's old leader. He had sent agents to Madi to kill her, including Cam. He disappeared before the authorities confronted him. Since then, Madi has been working really hard to find him. PC also stood for пингвин Council, an organization of special trained agents.
"Please stop searching, Madi. I worry about you." Cam said.
"Cam, I'm not going to stop searching until I find him." Madi said. Cam sighed.
"Fine. Just be careful, ok?"
"Promise." Madi сказал(-а) and smiled.
"Good." Cam сказал(-а) and smiled back. "Now stay out of trouble." He сказал(-а) in a serious tone.
"Fine." Madi said. She ended the call and turned around. She came face to face with a penguin.
Chapter 1
"Madi?" Madi recognized the voice.
"General?" They froze. Suddenly, General kicked Madi. She fell back, but gained balance. She ran at him and did an upwards spin kick. General fell to the ground, but got up before Madi punched him while he was down. General jumped and dived at Madi. He got her, and threw her into the alley. She fell to the ground. She got up and ran farther into the alley. She jumped on a мусорный контейнер, корзина для мусора, корзины and grabbed the ladder above her. General pursued her. Madi climbed up the огонь escape. When she reached the roof, she ran across it. General was faster; he pounced on her and threw her to the edge of the building. She Остаться в живых her footing and almost fell off. "Goodbye, Madi!" Suddenly, a пингвин pushed General away from Madi. Madi was startled and let go off the edge. She screamed, but someone grabbed her flipper just in time. She was pulled to the roof, where she dropped to her knees. She was breathing heavily.
"Are Ты ok?" The пингвин asked.
"Yeah, I think so. Thanks." Madi looked up and came face to face with a guy with brown hair and brown eyes.
"Hi," the пингвин said.
"Hi," Madi said.
"I'm Finn, by the way." Finn said.
"I'm Madi. Nice to meet you." Madi said.
"The pleasure's all mine." Finn said. Madi blushed.
"Thanks again."
"Hey, no problem!"
"I better get going!" Madi said.
"Oh, I should get going too! Bye, Madi!"
"Bye Finn!" Madi said. Then she took a long trip to PC headquarters.

"Where the heck were you? I was really worried." Cam сказал(-а) right when Madi walked into PC HQ.
"I ran into General and we battled on a roof and a guy named Finn saved me." Madi said. Cam stared at her.
"Are Ты ok?" Madi asked.
"What? Of course I am!" Madi said.
"Right." Cam сказал(-а) sarcastically.
"Really!"
"Right."
"Cam!"
"I'm just messing with you!" Cam laughed.
"Ha ha ha, SO funny!" Madi сказал(-а) flatly.
"I was just kidding!"
"Ok! Do I have any missions I need to do?"
"No. Why?"
"Good. I'm going home." Madi said. Cam stopped.
"What? Ты can't go home! We got a lot of stuff we need to do!" Cam said.
"But if I don't have any stuff to do, then what else am I going to do?" Madi asked. Cam didn't answer.
"That's what I thought. Now I'm going home." Madi said. She walked out of the door and into the city. She decided she wanted to sight-see before she went home. She decided to see how it felt to be on the Hollywood sign. She went to the sign and looked at the rest of Hollywood from up there. It's so beautiful, Madi thought. Suddenly, there was a cloth over her beak.
