Well I've been Письмо a little fanfic recently and I realized that when I write fanfic, I mostly let my character's handle the plot. Whatever happens to pop in my head at the time, and doesn't go completely against the в общем и целом, общая story line, gets put in the fanfic.
But Smeyer says that she wrote Twilight by just "letting her characters handle the plot". There by making it seem a lot like how, not only I, but other people, write Фан fiction.
I decided to look up some reasons of what makes a good Фан fiction:
"1. Choose the anime/manga/book/video game/movie Ты want your fan-fic to be about." Vampire's aren't an original topic. Believe me they are amazing!!! but Meyer isn't the first person ever to write a vampire novel.
"2.Come up with a storyline." I've read stories by 9 год olds that have еще of a plot than Twilight.
"3.Compose your opening paragraph." Anyone with the ability to write can to this.
"4.Add a new element to your story that makes it unique and interesting." Well I'd say that sparkling Вампиры are 'new' and 'unique'. Even if it isn't in a good way, necessarily.
"5.Add еще details." Saying that Edward is 'pale', 'cold', and 'granite-like' counts right? RIGHT?!?!?
"6.Further develop the story." Well Meyer, Ты kinda failed here. But I suppose this is where Ты wrote "Eclipse"
"7.Come up with a conclusion." How about a simple cliché? 'We continued into our small but perfect piece of forever' AKA 'Happily ever after'.
"8.Reread your entire fan-fic." 'BUT I'M SO BUSY! I'd never have time to read my own book! Besides, *I* was the one who had the wet dream!!!
"9.Share your work with others." Meyer, I really wish Ты hadn't.
"10.Take constructive criticism." I think she missed a step.
Well I just think this proves that Twilight is really over-long fanfiction!
