It’s the first день of filming and today I am meeting the ones I am gonna work with. I am a little nervous since we are only gonna shoot the pilot and if the Показать isn’t approved I’ll be back to Лондон in about 3 weeks. Jo decided to stay there, she’s being weird lately I guess it’s just one of those phases marriages go through. I mean she could have come, it’s not like the Показать is bought for sure although the script is amazing but well here I am at the entrance of лиса, фокс studios and soon I’ll be faking an American accent an Актёрское искусство like a jerk and being all miserable, which isn’t that difficult for me.
I am not a miserable man, no, not at all. I consider myself lucky. I have a good family, my kids are amazing, my job is fun, I am a well known man in England, I can’t complain but there’s something missing. I don’t know what.
I enter the set and I see a bunch of unknown people standing Далее to David берег and Katie Jacobs. I approach it and I notice that it’s just a bunch of writers, I feel how my muscles relax.
“Hi. Nice to meet Ты I am Hugh Laurie.” I say giving my hand to them. They smile at me and I just grin back at them. I guess they are wondering why I have a British accent. Then Katie says
“So are Ты ready to start?” She offers a soft smile at me. I only nod my head and she tells me to follow. She takes me to the dressing rooms and I see a young lady there, a blonde boy and a black man. I guess those are the ones that will play House’s team.
“Jennifer, Omar and Jesse. This is Hugh Laurie and he’ll be playing House.” The young girl is cute I have to admit but her attention is so into the blonde guy. They all shake my hand and present themselves. I wonder who will play Wilson, house’s friend, then I see a 40 год old guy turning around the corner and followed there’s a dark haired woman that- woah. She’s-she’s woah! Dark brown hair, blue или grey eyes I can’t distinguish from the distance, curves, definitely marked curves and-
“Hugh?” Katie turns to see me. I blush. What was she talking about? Just nod and act as if Ты had been listening all the time.
“Yeah Katie.” I turn again to see where that woman went but what am I doing? I feel the ring bury on my skin in my left hand. Still no sight of her was she just a hallucination?
“Hugh?” I turned to Katie again and I see that the mysterious woman is right Далее to her. I blush again.
“This is Lisa Edelstein.” I turn to see her and I meet her eyes. God, they are so beautiful. And then Katie says something else that makes Lisa smile. I can’t help but smile abroad back.
“Hugh?” Now that’s not Katie that’s the man who is standing Далее to her. I wonder if he is her boyfriend или her husband, they seem about the same age. He’s holding out his hand. I shyly grin and hand him my hand. Then I turn my gaze back to Lisa. Even her name sounds so special. She smiles at me again and I turn to see Katie who is speaking and I don’t know why but my head is just listening the Lisa Edelstein over and over again.
Suddenly all the persons around me nod and start walking. Dang what did I lose? God! This is my job I can’t ruin it on the first day. I turn to see the other blonde guy and asked him in a low voice.
“What do we have to do Mmm-?”
“Robert”
“Right. Sorry I’m just a little nervous.”
“Yeah happens all the time. We have to go to our dressing rooms and get ready to shoot.
“Right. Thanks” I smile and go away trying to figure where my dressing room is. I’m sure Katie told where it was but I can’t remember. Then I remember slightly and follow the mixed instructions of my head.
I arrive and close the door. The personal hasn’t arrived yet but I can see a cane there. I take it and start playing with it, then I hear a knock.
“It’s open.” I say as I put the cane down and expecting to see the make-up artist but instead I see her. I tense.
“Hi,” She smiles, “Just dropping by because we never got to shake hands.” I stand up as she stretches her hand, I stretch mine and I touch her. Her hands are really soft and seem to be really delicate and small. I stare again towards her eyes and I feel numb. We hold our glares for еще than a минута while we still hold hands and then she lets out a giggle.
“It’s nice meeting you.2 She says and she smoothly pulls her hand away.
I nod. I realize that she’s gonna walk away if I don’t say anything.
“I’m playing House.” I offer she turns back to me.
“I’m playing Cuddy.”
“You don’t look like a grumpy boss.” I joke she takes a step вперед to me.
“And Ты don’t look like a jerk.” I smirk. Again silence and she just smiles again.
“So I’ll see Ты in set?” I nod and then she turns around and goes away. Beautiful, that’s all what I have to say. Then my mind pops back to the thoughts I was having earlier. Jo, my wife, I sink my head inside my hands. Rubbing my hands against my eyes I discover what’s missing:
