Wherever Lisa was, it always seemed like Hugh was close with his hand either on her back или her hand on his arm. On the rare occasions they weren’t in some form of physical contact, they were in eye contact that came in everything from long stares to short, stolen glances. It didn’t go without Robert noticing. He leaned over to Hugh when they were away from close ears.
“Are Ты two SURE Ты want to come to my place afterwards?” he сказал(-а) with a knowing look.
Hugh squinted at him and replied, “Why, I am not sure what Ты are implying. Why wouldn’t we?” and he turned so Robert couldn’t read his face and snickered to himself.
It was time to go unless they were heading to the after party. Lisa was usually game for the after party. Hugh on the other hand was never big on anything that required him being in the public еще than absolutely necessary.
“Are Ты staying for the after party? I have to head back because some of my guests are coming any time now.” Robert asked Hugh.
Hugh looked over at Lisa Далее to him and then back to Robert, “We are going to head to the after party..together and then we will be over in a bit. Sound good?”
Robert and Lisa both simultaneously opened their mouths in shock. He only saw Robert, but he sensed Lisa. Robert’s lack of response didn’t stop Hugh who just extended his arm for Lisa to grab and said,
“Ok, then we will see Ты soon.”
Lisa, still in a bit of shock herself grabbed his arm and moved quickly along side of Hugh and away from everyone else.
“Um…what are Ты doing? Ты never do the after party thing?” She was still amazed this was happening.
“Well, this is finale night and House and Cuddy are getting a little ahh.. wild so why not have some fun ourselves? He сказал(-а) it with a sly mischievousness that made Lisa excited just to be involved in the exploits of the evening.
“How do Ты KNOW that they are getting wild? When we left them they were Поцелуи and…well..” she left it there.

They arrived at the after party arm in arm and each smiling at the site, the touch of each other. Lisa had never seen Hugh looking so relaxed, and happy. Once in the party they stuck close still talking to others and yet, never being far apart.
“Hugh pulled Lisa over to the side. I need to talk to Ты about something tonight…later on.”
She felt a little pang of nervousness but the look on his face was reassuring.
He laughed a little, “It’s nothing bad…I promise.”
Just then a camera man approached and they turned, his hand on her waist, they posed for a picture. She leaned her hip into him trying to make as much contact as possible without being too obvious. This was a trick of hers and she thought she pulled it off quite well. It just looked like she was posing. To her surprise, he leaned back into her while holding her tight so she didn't fall.
After the photographer left she started laughing, “What the heck has gotten into Ты tonight? Ты shouldn’t play with a girl’s сердце like this. It’s a form of torture in some countries, I am fairly sure.”
He smiled back, “what if I’m not playing?”
The look he gave her after that was one so intense, she felt like her clothes were burning off. At a total loss for a response, she pushed her eyebrows together like she was studying him and then she threw her head back and giggled. She had never made a secret of the fact that she wanted to be with him. She never hid that she was crazy over him. Oh how she had tried to keep it hidden at times. She told herself it was insane and tried to Переместить on. She just couldn't get her mind around what had over come him.
They posed for picture after picture together. One photographer asked them if they thought they would be voted “most glamorous couple” again this год to which they both laughed.
Hugh put his hand behind Lisa’s back at one point and let it wander downwards very casually trying his hardest to look completely unaware as he did so. She kept her composure for the sake of the picture takers and then started to giggle. He looked over at her and gave her a look like “who..me?” and then a laugh.
“What?...what’s wrong?”
She just smiled and grabbed a hold of his arm. He folded his arms in front of him as if he were fully guilty of nothing.
They continued to pose for pictures while moving casually about. After what seemed to be “enough” time had passed he decided it was time to Переместить on.
“Do Ты think we should start heading out now to Robert’s?” He was beside her and looking down into her eyes. She was having so much fun being with him, laughing over silly jokes between the two of them. They had a way of speaking with their eyes that only became еще refined over time.
She nodded and smiled.
Out they headed towards their waiting limo.
“Do Ты think anyone is going to think it strange that we are leaving together?”
“I doubt anyone will even notice.” He winked at her this time.
Hugh waited for her to get in as the chauffer held the door for them.
She realized that slipping back into the car wouldn’t be easy, it had already been difficult getting there, but now she had Hugh standing there watching her.

She held her hem again and scooted over to make room for him. She looked over at him, waiting for him to get in, but he seemed to be concentrating on something else.
“Hey…are Ты coming?”

“Ahhhhh!!” she started laughing but she didn’t push his hand away.
He faked a startle and pulled his hand back.
“Why, I beg your pardon, I don’t know what my hand was thinking?” And he moved his hand to behind her shoulders and gave her a little squeeze.
They laughed together for a минута and then she had to ask,
“What is it that Ты wanted to talk to me about?” she looked at him with a serious expression. Typically when he told her he wanted to talk about something serious, it really was. Sometimes it involved work and the struggles he was having with this или that. Sometimes just about his family and not being able to be with them as he would like. They seemed to be able to talk about anything, so she wondered what was it would be this time.
“Oh yes…that.” He cleared his throat a little and this just proved to cause Lisa a little еще anxiety.
