WHy do Ты feel Jacob and Bella's relationship was suck a failure?

I think Bella and Jacob didn't work out because Bella didn't allow it to.. she got to attached to Edward and once he was gone, she couldn't forget him. She was using Jacob to help cope..but i never сказал(-а) she didn't have feelings for Jacob
