I don't hate her like I used to but I still dislike her A LOT! Her acting is absolutely HORRENDOUS (Except in The Greatest Showman where it's just decent but still not good), her style is trying too hard and fake (Not as fake as Nicki Minaj but still), she's a stuck-up snob that has her huge fanbase fooled into thinking she's sweet, she's a stiff and lifeless model, she tries to make all her criticisms look like it's all a race issue so people will be on her side, she's been getting into big-budget movies like Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman when she doesn't deserve it, and her fans are absolutely ANNOYING and will attack you if you think she's anything less than Jesus. She has a good singing voice (Not great and it's only good after The Greatest Showman because before that it was just subpar) and is a fantastic dancer but there are FAR more talented celebrities out there than her. This is also minor but I don't even think she's pretty. She's cute but not some great beauty that she's made out to be and looks like she's fresh out of junior high, despite being 21. Funny how I'm making this rant but most people here likely haven't even heard of her lol.

I can't speak for everyone, but I stated my reasons. Most people here on Fanpop don't seem to know her and most people outside of Fanpop for some reason seem to like her and call her "their queen" and praise her like she's the best thing invented since the very first doctor.

Her fanbase is even worse. Zendaya's not the best thing since sliced bread, people. And she's certainly not God or Jesus.

Obviously an unpopular opinion but she's one of my favorite celebrities lol. Tbh her acting has gotten so much better since Shake it Up, her performance in the Greatest Showman was incredible!!! It actually surprises me that a lot of people here don't know her, but most fanpop users don't exactly seem to be her demographic lol.
Also I don't know how some people here would call her fake despite not knowing her, but I can't exactly be surprised because that person would probably rather eat their own hand than give Z any praise :)

I've given her praise in some areas, despite my great dislike of her. She has a good voice, when she's not trying to sound like Alicia Keys and FAILING at it because of her limited vocal range, and she's definitely a fantastic dancer. While I don't think she's pretty, she is cute. She also deserves MAJOR props for actually doing her own stunts in The Greatest Showman.

I kept an open mind about her acting in The Greatest Showman, despite how much I wanted to hate her performance, and it surprisingly wasn't awful or even bad. It still wasn't good in my opinion but there were times when it was good. She was good with some of the emotional scenes, particularly in the Rewrite the Stars reprise, and was serviceable enough to where she wasn't making me cringe like she usually does. However, her terrible acting habits were still present, even though it wasn't as extreme or enough for me to call her overall performance bad. She was pretty stiff a lot of the time in both her face and physical movements and a lot of her line delivery was hammy, over-the-top, and fake. A lot of the time when she spoke I was expecting her to say "OH REALLY, DARLING!!!!!!" like the stereotypical over-the-top actress. I also thought she had absolutely no chemistry with Zac Efron in the movie. They felt like singing and kissing furniture rather than a couple with believable chemistry. Overall, the performance was mediocre and decent but that doesn't mean she's a good actress in my opinion. Most terrible actors/actresses have at least one decent or even good performance at least once in their career but that doesn't mean they're good. Just my personal opinion.

Oh, I think you misunderstood! You weren't who I was talking about, in fact I liked your comment a lot. You voiced your issues with her without being rude about it, and I actually agree with you on some points related to her acting.

Totally fine!! As I said, I definitely agree with you on some stuff, especially her chemistry with Zac- I liked them a lot in Rewrite the Stars (obviously lol its my icon) but I felt like that was the only part they really worked together.
