It annoys me the most when a person joins fanpop and the first thing they do is make a fan club for themselves

Jeez, it's not MYSPACE or FACEBOOK or whatever, you want a blog/club/spot/page..., do it somewhere else.
Fanpop is about people joining spots that they share a common interest in, not comparing how many bloody fans you have.

I don't really care...and sometimes people make it for them just because they think they're nice or whatever, so I really don't mind..

If they make it to post fanfics they write it's fine. If they make it just to make it, then they are stuck up.

I wouldnt exactly call them stuck up but it does annoy me. Especially when they ask me to join, that bugs me. Its like "Oh heres a link to my club, join it because you're oh-such a big fan of me" - and then i feel bad if i dont join :/

I wouldn't call them stuck up... but you shouldn't do it if your a new user that hasn't even done anything for fanpop. Certain people shouldn't have them.

BTW, what if it's a group of people? Cuz I DO have one of those with my 2 BFFS.... :/ and it's not just us talking, we talk about other stuff on fanpop and harry potter and other stuff... but I don't CONSTANTLY ask people to join :P

@Mongoose: that's why (when i asked you to join our spot) i said "only if you want to", cuz i only want people to join cuz they want to, not cuz they feel bad or wanna be nice :) (just letting you know just in case you felt bad or annoyed at the time lol)

Well if they make themselves a spot just to have one, then yes.
But if its to post their writing then no.

Not really. But I do get annoyed when people ask random strangers to join their fanclub, without even knowing the person.

Hmm...well, it sounded a little like you shouldn't make a club about yourself. Clubs are for common interests. Popular people like..uh, Tom Cruise? have clubs only because they are celebrities and professionals (..well, likely). I doubt they made clubs about themselves on this site.

Nah, not annoying. Most of my friends have clubs of themselves and it's like a big club for everything they like.

yeah it is silly if theyre new and no one's heard of them. the idea is that if you are nice enough to deserve a club after you then someone will make one. if people want you to have your own club, theyll make you one.
It is strange wh nnew people make one and think theyre so popular when like 1 person joins

I know this is 2 years late, but making a club where you can do anything, be yourself, post what you want, and NOT have a bunch of fuckers judge you/annoy you for it(COUGH UNLIKE RANDOM COUGH), ISN'T really stuck up.
