Is Cheezi from the lion guard related to Ed in someway?

They may look and act the same in some way. But since The Lion Guard isn't officially canon to the original film. It's doubtful that they are. Hence, The Lion Guard has a whole different story line.

It is possible, but it's never outwardly stated that he is.

While it is possible for Cheezi to be in some way related to Ed by either two theories that are actually plausible.

1 Janja's clan are descended from Shenzi ' s clan.

2 Cheezi is a recreated version of Ed.

It is also unlikely by these two reasons.

1 the Lion guard isn't canon to the regular films.

2 Ed doesn't have a mate.
