I might be generalizing when I say this, but this fandom is none too friendly. I am willingly to bet my life that there /are/ level-minded people here, who Любовь the series for what it is, a great epic story-one that we all adore.

But I think it must be my fault that I can't get to these people. There is an army of irrational fangirls that stand between me and some relaxed chats with some admirable fans.

I thought maybe after the initial "outrage" of Eclipse then people will chill out. But I was wrong.

With all the Anti-Jacob Black groups that spans all the way to Deviantart to fanpop, I can't even help defend the character anymore. I'm argued out. *shakes head* There is no compromise.

I have Остаться в живых my faith in this fandom. So I shall go retreat to my other beloved fandoms. I'll keep Чтение and loving the series. And go watch the movie(I'M SO F-ING EXCITED FOR THAT) They're too fabulous to not enjoy.

I'll see some of Ты around the Jacob Black places(mainly LJ and here), as I will lurk around for news and updates. But other than that, I bid the Twilight online fandom adieu! Ты have been less than welcoming for people who enjoy ALL the characters especially Jacob Black.

Saul_Mikoliunas Awww don't leave! There are some people who love all the characters, we just aren't as argumentative as the others. I think Edward should be with Bella but I don't even dislike Jacob. He is sweet and nice and he is just trying to do what he thinks is right for Bella. If you stay away from the Who is best for Bella? picks then you won't find so much Jacob hate =D

kctjohnson Pink Martini don't go!!! :(( I totally understand what you mean about the fangirls who can't seem to mature enough to understand the stupidity in character-bashing and being negative about any aspect of the series. I've had to deal with those girls too, and I can most certainly appreciate your sentiments on this. I often feel defeated, and maybe that's exactly what these "mean girls" want you to feel. They probably feel some sick satisfaction in kicking out the Jacob fans, one overdone and immature insult at a time. You can't go! We gotta stick together!!

cowgirlfromhell I totally understand you, it's really not necessary for people to do. I don't blame you being fed up and going but you shouldn't =[ Some people are civilised, which is mostly (and I don't like saying it but it's true) in the Jacob spot. You're actually putting what I was thinking into action, we should go on strike or something, just annoy all the hardcore Edward fans =P Still, you shouldn't go because of the way some people are acting, no matter how immature they're being, we should show our Jacob pride =D

PaoBella Awww you shouldnt leave at all... trust me just like the others said there are people here who just love the series for what it is.. and we should just ignore those who want to keep fighting over the characters. I personally love all the characters because all have different personalities and I dont think is fair to take sides for a book that we all love dont leave...and you should continue with what you want =D

spezlee I agree with everyone! Stay and try and stay away from the Edward vs Jacob parts. I think that the fangirls that are being rude are annoying but there is also a lot of fun to be found here! I love some of the theories and questions. Plus, a lot of the images and videos are great!

Aestiria Awe you shouldn't go! :( I can agree with you on all the stupid Jacob hate. And alot of the fangirls can be seriously annoying. But I think what Michellebob said says it all :)

DanieEdge Hun, I completely 100% agree. I got called a bitch, I was told that I was offending people who had been raped because I refused to hate Jacob but also like Edward/Bella. And all this as I am a relatively new fan of the books and was just excited to talk about it, now I spend all my time lurking. It is really bad out there, and these people don't even see how rude, insulting, and unwelcoming they are being. They don't care. But I mean don't let people get you down, they are just small minded and stupid. It's always better to be the bigger person.

officefan2010 I definitely see where you're coming from. I've noticed some serious hostility from fans, most of which I believe are little "fangirls" who only care about Edward, and not the rest of the amazing characters Stephanie Meyer has created and shared with us. I'm new to this empire of Twilight, and a lot of the fans have seriously surprised me with how much they hate Jacob. Jacob is a great character and he really cares about Bella, and I can't help but absolutely love him sometimes. I agree with the others when they say please stay. True "twilighters" are the people like you and the others that have commented on this article, the ones who love and care about all the characters, including the less-desirable-at-times ones. lol. So please don't leave. Your real Twilight support is highly appreciated by all true "Twilighters". : ]

CSI9em No PinkMartini stay!! I totally get what you are saying. This spot was made for fans of this great series to co-exist happly to express their love for it freely! I agree the character bashing, mmhh Jacob Black *cough cough*, is unnecessary because the characters being constantly bashed are the one's that make the story. Please don't leave, I agree with officefan2010 "'Your real Twilight support is highly appreciated by all true "Twilighters".'"

kctjohnson Oh-my-goodness. I am THIS close to joining Pink. These ridiculous Pick questions like "Is anyone else EXTREMLY annoyed about Bella and Jacob?" or "Out of these characters, if you had to chose which character would you eliminate from the series all together?" (and the freak'n choices are only Bella, Edward, Alice, and Jacob)... they're so unfathomably annoying - kinda like the 5 year old neighbor's kid who thrives on pissing off older kids. Oh and that user who keeps saying "DIE JACOB DIE" is really beyong infantile. It's a book character we're talking about so most of the time I excuse it as posts done by an immature fangirl (which is more than likely the case) but there's only so much hate posts I am willing to see (not READ, but SEE). Isn't there any way to delete these idiotic hate-questions and forum hate-posts???

CSI9em kctjohnson I only made that question for fun. It was just supposed to be a difficult question because those characters are everyone's favorite. And they all make the story, it was just supposed to be hard, it wasn't supposed to be a breading ground for character bashing.

kctjohnson CSI9 - We all know that in this Spot, that is not a difficult question. I agree that it SHOULD be a hard decisioon, but as we often see in the responses in this particular Spot, we often get responses that pretty much shows hate. That same question would have been "difficult" had the audience been generally more mature. There are definitely a lot of mature fans who belong in this spot (most of them answer Articles), but there are as much (if mot more) immature ones. When I saw that one of the bashers was in her 20's I just shook my head and kinda lost hope. TwilightTeens is definitely a better place to hang out for readers who actually GET what Stephenie is writing.

alyssa_leigh wow. some people take this way to far & im really sorry.. honestly, not all fans are like that! only the extreme and aggresive ones! i agree with you that EVERY character in this book is great. come on people this is a BOOK! even though they are the most brilliant books ever mad,, its totally unecassary, childish, rude, & immature to be calling people names just because they appreciate the book for the whole book, im really sorry people are so rude! im positive this isnt what stephanie meyer wanted!! sad.

vampiressparkle This is really very sad. ;_; I am a slightly obsessive fan, and I admit to that. And I am hardcore Team Edward, guilty as charged. But people are taking this WAY too far. It's a book for crying out loud. I used to love the fandom. It's always amazing to meet people who love Twilight as much as you do and it was the one place we could escape the fangirls. But not any longer. -_- I agree with all your points, they are valid. But please don't go. Stay here and bond with the non-extremist anti-HOMG-I-LIVE-IN-FORKS-AND-LOVE-EDWARD-CULLEN-FOREVER-(even though I really live in Utah) people ^_^

kateliness2 I completely agree! This is taken way too far. I try to explain why I like Jacob better in a rational way, but the more I read in the comments, the harder for me it gets to be polite when writing these comments. I am sick of people, not just here, but on other websites as well, calling people names because of what characters they like. I realize I'm probably too late, but please don't go! Together we'll 'fight' the fangirls with our eloquent language and undeserving politeness! LOL! ;)

HyperEuphoria I agree with that. But then again.. I think all fandoms are that way. Especially popular ones. I's so irritating hearing people who claim to be fans also claiming characters as their own and disturbing the story. I hope the Fans calm down a bit. Before I go insane from the chaos.

MoonDevious I saw something on Pink_Martini's props page about your article, so i came to read it. I may love Edward, but there's nothing wrong with Jacob! Props for standing up for what you believe in. But dont leave! True fans are what they are...true fans.
