When I woke up I went to the window and looked outside. It was пасмурная погода, пасмурно and windy. In other words it was a perfect day, and I wouldn’t have to go to school without Edward. He left and I was ready when he picked me up.

On our way to school I realized that I had never gotten an answer to my Вопрос last night. The one about whether Edward had rethought his carefully planned boundaries. But now wasn’t the best time. We were in the school parking lot. Edward opened my door and led me to my locker. The first колокол, колокольчик, белл rang.

“I guess I’ll see Ты later.” He сказал(-а) melancholy.

“Yep, see Ты in секунда period.” I сказал(-а) as I walked off to first period.
The first period of the день was the worst, it was the only class I had without Edward. So I trudged off to calculus alone, as usual.

I sat down in my usual сиденье, место, сиденья Далее to Mike. He took advantage of the fact that this was the one class Edward and I didn’t share. He chattered at me about his weekend and how he had figured out which college to go to. I usually try to look like I’m paying attention, but today I didn’t pretend that I was interested. Not until he asked me a Вопрос did I ever respond. He didn’t today and I was grateful, because he might have caught me unprepared. So I was thankful when the teacher called for silence and began class. He gave us a short assignment, which I got done before class ended. The last five минуты of class I stared at the clock thinking about Edward. Finally the колокол, колокольчик, белл rang and I happily headed off to секунда period.

Later at lunch when Edward and I joined Alice, Eric, and Angela I noticed an unfamiliar face staring at our table. It was only then I realized it was Katie, the red-headed girl I hadn’t talk to much. Probably because I was a lifeless zombie at the time she joined my old lunch table. I shuddered, and Edward scooted closer to me. I looked up at him and he was staring at the Katie girl too, but his face held a position that made it look like he was about to roll his eyes.

“ So, Bella what do Ты want to do this weekend?” Alice asked pulling from the prying eyes.

I could see out of the corner of my eye that Edward was still staring. I poked him in the abdomen and he immediately broke away from her, and laughed lightly. It sounded like music. He focused on Alice now.

“Um, I don’t know yet. Let me get back to Ты on that.” I сказал(-а) even though I really had no intentions of doing so, I also knew I wouldn’t fool Alice . And I’m sure she would be persistent.

“Ok, I will hold Ты to it.” She сказал(-а) smiling, Ты could tell she was serious.

I turned to Edward and asked, “Why was Katie staring at us?”

He leaned closer to me and whispered in my ear, “She wasn’t staring at us. Well, she was staring at you.”

I looked at him with confusion clear on my face.

“She’s jealous.” He сказал(-а) snickering. Of course she was—I thought. Edward was attractive to еще than just me. But it hadn’t occurred to me before that she liked him. For all I knew she thought he was a freak like everyone else did. “ I think I better see how much though.” He said.

Then his hand came to my cheek and he pulled me closer. And he pressed his lips to my face, grazing my bottom lip. I trembled—but disregarded the feeling. I’m sure I’d have еще than enough alone time with Edward later. He pulled away, and laughed a little louder, looking at Katie again. I looked that way to. Her face was full of envy. She looked at me like she wanted me to start on fire. Edward must have seen the same thing because he instinctively –and inconspicuously— put his back between me and Katie. I laughed too.

I then thought of what I wanted to do this weekend. I knew Alice would want to go shopping, I didn’t mind that much. Maybe I could get Edward to go with us, and she could bring Jasper so she wouldn’t feel left out. I was about to ask, but the колокол, колокольчик, белл rang. Sending us to fifth period. I felt like was going to explode if didn’t get to ask my Вопросы soon.

“Hey Edward? Can we go to your house after school to study?” I asked. I would get a chance to talk to him and Alice then.

“ Sure, whatever you’d like.” He answered.

We then headed to fifth period, hand-in-hand. I could swear I could feel a pair of eyes boring into my back. Edward must have seen her because he traded my hand for my waist. We laughed as we wandered to class.
