Just a couple of grammatical errors. I corrected them:

At the beginning, there were forty. We were running. Now there are twenty-three. Every time we'd settle in one spot comfortably, it seemed we'd be holding hands and shooting out of there as quickly as we'd arrived. We couldn't stay in one spot for any longer than eight months, it wasn't safe. No matter where we were, they could find us- they would find us. Nowhere is безопасно, сейф and this is how it has been my whole life, my father’s whole life and even my grandfather’s whole life. And this is how it will continue until one of us does something about it, или worse… they catch us.

Otherwise, sounds really good :D
