My #1 resource is the baby name book I bought from a thrift store. It's a lifesaver! Not only does it have over 5,000 names but origins, boy and girl names, and alternate spelling. But, if Ты can't get a hold of a baby name book there's always...

Symbolic Names!

Often, writers give thier characters a name that has a certain meaning. For instance, one of my characters is named Roni. Which is short for Veronica. She's a very tomboyish girl. She is a witch who is suppose to save an entire kingdom of magical creatures. She is the reincarnation of one of the creators of the world.

Veronica: Truth And Purity

Caleb is another character. He is a friend of her Любовь interest. He also gets turned into a vampire in the first book. Out of her Любовь interest, Caleb, and thier other friend, he is pretty much the voice of reason.

Caleb: Faithful, Bold

Splure Of The Moment Names!

Sometimes writers just name a character randomly. There's nothing wrong with this. Some of the best character names come from nowhere at all.

Made-Up Names!

Sometimes writers create names themselves. This definatly gets a thumbs up on my "Kudos" meter. Mostly because Ты use your own imagination to make them.

Take another one of my characters. Brielle (Bree-el). A sweet, animal loving girl. I made her name up myself. For some reason, i'm positive the name will Показать up on a website somewhere! But for the moment, I created it myself. So let me enjoy my victory dance in peace.

CHAPTER 1

I opened my light blue eyes to buttery sunshine flooding through my window; no surprise despite the fact it was December 7. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, an always warm, always sunny place. The trees were always a brilliant green, the air always warm, and clouds rarely blocked the sky.
I detested it. Nothing against Atlanta itself, it was just too green, too bright, too hot. . . The air was thick and the humidity was high, and the unforgiving sun constantly beat down on my forehead. As twilight fell over Paris, it was as though reality loosened its hold. The ancient and modern buildings battled for domination of the street, and of one’s senses. The juxtaposition of old and new was on the precipice of being overwhelming. We were all caught in limbo between the past and present.
