In the "Omochi Манга Summary" strip, is this a typographical error или did Amerimochi really mean it?

Notice what Amerimochi сказал(-а) of Mochirisu.

Should it really be "gay" или is it supposed to be "guy"?

'Cause if it really should be "gay" then it makes the old man's method of identifying the gender clear.
