Until one day.
Pa kissed яблочная водка, яблоко, кальвадоса on the head as he packed his paintings into the back of his cart. "When will Ты be back?" whined Applejack. "I'm just goin' to the art fair on the other side of town," he explained. "I'll be back soon, my little apple."
And with that, he pulled the тележка, корзина onto the long road that winded through Ponyville.

"Eeyup?"

I wondered about that. I had noticed Ma's strange behavior, but I hadn't thought much about it.
Just then, Ma came out. "Supper!" she called to us, and AJ and I trotted into our farmhouse.
Ma sat us down at the table. "Now, young 'uns, I have a big announcement to make..."

"I'm... well, I'm havin' another baby."
Applejack's mouth, which had been chewing a heap of mashed potatos, fell open and the white, mushy Еда fell out, back onto her plate.
"You're--you're jokin'." I said, shocked. "Another baby? жеребенок, кольт или filly? When's it due?"
"It's due in four months, and it's a filly, honey."
I sank back onto the cushion that we sat on for dinner. Another little sister? "So that means... you've been pregnant for 7 months?" (True fact. Ponies and Лошади are pregnant for 11 months.)

"I'm... I'm gonna be a big sister." All of a sudden, she grinned, her ears perking up. "Big Mac, isn't this awesome?!"
"I... well... yeah... but..." I was still too surprised to react properly.

We went to постель, кровати early that night. I saw the light in Applejack's room being flickered on and off. She was seemingly too excited to fall asleep.
I smiled, and fell asleep.
A few час later, however, I was awoken by a scream and sobbing downstairs.
