AlexGrayson Though I believe if Lauren Faust had her original way we would have had a g1 pony by the name of Moon Dancer in the role of Twilight Sparkle, but due to the trademark botch up on Hasbro's part she had to create Twilight Sparkle, but you are correct with Twilight and Twilight Twinkle being the insipration behind Twilight Sparkle though Sparkler also influenced her design as well not just Rarity's. Though kinda interesting if Hasbro wasn't able to renew its old trademarks how'd we get Moon Dancer in episode 103, kinda proving it was a money ploy on Hasbro's part to have Faust create new ponies. We also had Sparkler in FiM under a new name Amethyst Star.

Victor: It's too bad we can't fly.
JJ: Well, there are a lot of interesting vehicles down there.
Victor: Yeah... Maybe we can get a Canterlot Firebolt.
JJ: Oh, good idea!
Victor: Nah, we'd get sued for ripping off a Burt Reynolds movie.
JJ: But we already are-
Victor: Hold that thought Brett, I wanna land at that intersection, and get us some 12 packs. *Nosedives towards a road*
JJ: VICTOR, WE CAN'T LAND ON A PUBLIC ROAD!!!!!

But JJ's words were ignored, as the grey stallion landed his plane right in the middle of the road....

Canterlot, Neigh Jersey. JJ drove his Flam Focus to a Магазин that was jointly owned by him, and his best friend, Victor. He quickly ran out of his car, and into the shop.

JJ: Эй, boss, sorry I'm late. My хомяк was about to die, and I had to try, and give him some еще food.
Victor: Your hamster?
JJ: Yeah, I showed him to Ты last week, remember?
Victor: Yeah, yeah, get that transmission fixed on the Jetta, and then let's get going. We gotta test out a new car for the Cannonball.
JJ: Cannonball...As in...the Cannonball Run?!
Victor: The one and only. We're gonna need a fast car if we're gonna reach...
