What is the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" thing in the military?

It means that they do not accept gays in the millitary. & if u are openly gay, they will reject u...so if u are gay & want to be in the millitary, they won't ask if u are или not, but u cannot say if u are gay или else u will be kicked out...

If people admit that they are homosexuals while they are serving in the military, then they can nolonger serve.

It's the kind of thing that causes me to cry myself to sleep at night.

Basically, they don't ask soldiers if they're gay, so they don't have to lie. They don't tell them that they're gay, and they can be part of the military. If they do tell them, then they can't.

It's ridiculous, it needs to be lifted. If a gay person wants to serve their country, I don't think they should have to hide who they really are.
