why do some Фаны act like theyve monopolized a character или fandom?

I don't think I've seen that here unless you're talking about the 'true fan' nonsense. By this I mean; "oh you're not a real Фан of *insert show* if Ты like *insert character*" To be honest I never got that.

Now if you're getting at something like, "I'm the biggest Фан of this character!" I don't think that they mean any harm. If someone is super attached to a character I think it could feel like an accomplishment if everyone on the sites seems to know how much Ты Любовь the character. The problem lies in them being like "this character is mine, mine, mine." I'll do this sometimes, but I'm just joking around.

Nah but rly i don't consider myself as those type of ppl (at least i hope i'm not ._.), i don't own the или anything. I don't get bothered at all if someone else loves сказал(-а) character,, in fact i get happy. The еще the better, ya know? ;v

Now as for why some Фаны act like they 'own' a character is probably b/c they Любовь the character so much they feel no one else could like them / understand them as much as they do.. thus making things easier for them to get 'triggered' by the thought of having to share them w/ others. I mean.. i don't exactly blame them since i've kinda been through that phase before but if it resorts to aggressiveness to other Фаны who like the character then that's wrong & need to quit that =.=

But no, in all seriousness, if this is about me and my Mepphy obsession, I'm perfectly fine with people liking the character and the show. I just don't like people being attracted to him romantically because I'm in Любовь with him (even though he's a fictional character. Pathetic, I get it) so it'd be like seeing some other derp flirting with my crush или some shit или hitting on my boyfriend so I immediately get defensive even though he's just a fictional character. Cuz all in all, I'm a very self-centered person. :v
At the same time I'm pretty caring, though. Like if Ты honestly opened up to me and actually talked to me I'd be Друзья with you. Instead of most other Mephisto fangirls that lash out after I get defensive and call me a retard или something when I claim Mephisto. One of my close Друзья is actually also a huge fangirl over Meph but I Любовь her to fuckin death cuz she's so adorable and funny...

So, just saying from the end of one of those people that "monopolize" a character. I in no way own him but I'm madly in Любовь with the character and would fight to the death for him. :T
