So in regards to the books, LJ Smith already announced that Damon won't stay human but why do Ты think he'll be changed back?

So I was just rereading shadow souls and at one point the "little boy" Damon сказал(-а) something about doctors in regards to his health. I'm thinking before Damon was turned he was really sick and if he hadn't met Katherine he would have died. If so, he spent his whole life helpless so it would make sense that once he had the chance he would crave power! Now that he's human again I think the illness he suffered from before will resurface!
Hopefully, when faced with the possibility of losing him forever Elena will come to her senses and choose him not stefan!!
