The sun rose the Далее morning as FireKit scampered into the open, her eyes wide and her tail waving in excitement. RoseKit padded out sticking her nose high in the air. "Oh come on, RoseKit! The tiny ginger she-cat scurried past the hanging vines and almost tripped over a fluffy tail that was dragging along in the dust. She leaped back to see it flung into the air and the owner of the tail spun round. He was a large cream-and-brown tom with bright amber eyes. "Oh hey." He mewed, smiling. "I see you've met my tail." Giggling, FireKit nodded. "My name's MolePaw. You're FireKit aren't you? CinderHeart and LionBlaze's kit?" Before she could answer, her sister strutted up behind them. "LionBlaze and CinderHeart's YOUNGEST kit." she mewed importantly. "MY name is RoseKit. I'm only two moons from moving into the apprentice's den. I hope you've got my nest ready." The tortioseshell boasted.
FireKit sneaked an eye-roll at MolePaw while RoseKit continued to brag. "She's so boring." The ginger kit whispered. "All she does is talk. She never gets exctited или plays with me, and she always talks to me like she knows everything." She grinned. "But i still Любовь her." MolePaw flicked one ear, as if he were listening out for something. "The dawn patrol is back." He reported. He announced proudly. "She's one of the best hunters of all the apprentices." RoseKit snorted. Clearly she thought she could do better that that. I think not. FireKit thought. CherryPaw trotted up to the three young Кошки after dropping her catch onto the fresh-kill pile. "Hi MolePaw, FireKit, i think, and RoseKit?" She smiled at them and FireKit grinned back. RoseKit just nodded. CherryPaw continued. "FireKit, Ты were named after Firestar, weren't you? What a great name!" FireKit gave her fluffy ginger chest мех a couple of embarrassed licks. "I s'pose it is pretty cool." she agreed, curling up her tail. She had never met the legend known as FireStar, as he was killed before her birth. She had always longed to grow up to be a great warrior like him, and perhaps even clan leader one day? "Anyway." MolePaw licked one paw and drew it over his ear. "I think I need some training to get me fit again. I shall be your mentor. I will do my best to teach Ты as well as possible." FirePaw barely managed to keep her paws on the ground. She wanted to run all the way around the lake, yowling to everycat of every clan that Bramblestar was HER mentor.
