I woke up to a gloomy day. The reaping. I sigh, and get out of bed. I get dressed in a blue dress. I look into the mirror. My mom comes into the room, and braids my black hair. Everyday, she tells me I медведь a strong resemblance to my father, but she never tells me who he is. "You look remarkable!" she says. She sighs. "Isabella Everdeen... I hope that name isn't pulled"
    "That game is foolishness! There are countless names in Panem. There are 24 tributes. Two of them from District 12. We havn't won in 36 years. 15 of them, I've been alive. 3 of them my name could have been pulled and we might have had atleast one chance to win."
    My mom hits my leg. There stands a red mark, waiting to turn into a bruse. I rub it, trying to calm the nerves. It did no such treatment. "ISABELLA! Ты know not to talk of the Games that way! Yeah, I know the games are meaningless, but its a punishment for Panem. It's quite reasonable for me, but I don't like it."

He taught me how to hunt, throw a throwing knife, and skin an animal." Gale is a good friend of my moms. He tells me about his and my moms adventures, while they hunted together. He is a respectable man. I peer into the mirror. The blue dress complements my crystal blue eyes. I look very tasteful. I shake with nervousness. My mom calms me down.
    Its one'oclock. My mom and I head down to the square where the reaping is. There stands two big glass balls filled with names. Six of them mine, but there are kids that have almost 42 entries. What are the odds of having my name picked? Effie Trinket walks onto the stage. "I have an announcment to make. Me and Haymitch are getting too old to be at these reapings and help the tributes of District 12. So I am glad to pull up the winners of the 74th Hunger Games, Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen!" My mom and Peeta go onto the stage. My mom and Peeta are honorable people. I look in the crowd for Gale. I spot him, and smile. He waves back. My mom walks over to the glass bowl filled with the girls' names. There is a smile on her face. When she picks the name out her smile runs away. Her gaze drops "Isabella Everdeen. Your a tribute to District 12"
