What is your family's ancestry/heritage?

I was born and raised in the United States of America to Taiwanese immigrants and в общем и целом, общая parents making me a 1st-generation born Taiwanese-American или just simply an ABC which stands for "American-Born Chinese"😉 In turn, my parents were happened to be descendants of Chinese settlers/settlers from China who sailed and в общем и целом, общая migrated specifically from this Chinese province/province of China called Fujian Province to the modern-day island nation of Taiwan.

For my stepdad, he is Malaysian of Chinese descent which makes him в общем и целом, общая a Malaysian-Chinese/Chinese-Malaysian.

Dad- Scotch-Irish, German, lotta Swede.

Mom- Irish, French-Canadian, and like the majority of people here (so they say anyway) some Native on my grandpa's side but I forget the name of the tribe. I don't wanna be cliche and say Cherokee but that was a tribe in this area so it might well be.

but yeah, still Euro.

I'm a born Canadian as are my parents. And am of a Irish, German, Russian, Austrian, British decent. I am mostly Irish on my dad's side, as on his side, his ancestors came from Ireland. My grandfather, who passed away 2 years after I was born, fought in the war in German in the 40's I think. My Grandmother on my dad's side, her mom was born and raised in England. Former President Richard Nixon is a distant cousin to my grandfather, my dad's father. I've been told that everyone who has our last name are all related in some way, some of the people who have our last name are famous actors from the United States and the UK. I don't think I ever met my dad's father, my dad and his dad weren't that close as he favored my aunt, who's my dad's younger sister, еще than him. At least I don't remember ever meeting him. There is a lot of history on the topic of my family on both sides. There's a lot of stuff.

I was born in the USA. My mother's side of the family is french, it was my great grandparents that moved to the USA from Canada and not too many generations before that they were in France. I don't know much about who they were, but I do know that there is an island in Canada named after one of them, my grandmother's mother is a descendant from the french royalty, and my grandfather's side is filled with many respected artists and high-ranking men in the catholic church.
All I know about my father's side is that they also arrived in the USA at the same time as my mother's side and that his mother's side is from Finland and his father's side is mainly from Ireland.

I'm a mix of Irish, German, English, Finnish, Swedish and (Native American) Mohegan decent. My mother is Irish from my maternal grandmother who is pure Irish. She is also partly German and Finnish from my maternal grandfather. my grandfather is half German from his father and half Finnish from his mother. My father is Swedish, English, Mohegan and also Irish. My paternal grandmother is also pure Irish. my paternal grandfather has Swedish, English and Mohegan Indian in him. I think in somewhere in 1800's, my father's side of the family started when his English great grandfather fell in Любовь with an Mohegan Indian woman. Then his grandfather who was Swedish and his grandmother (I think who was half English and Mohegan, I'm not sure if I'm right или not) got together and had my grandfather. So, my ancestors came from Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Finland, England and America where the Mohegan Indians are.

I'm from the U.S. but my heritage is like a European mutt. My great-great-great-etc. grandparents came from Sweden, Germany (the main two), England, the Netherlands, Ireland, Finland, Scotland, and a lot of other European countries....

Fun Fact: There's a замок in Scotland my ancestors owned, but it's in ruins now. There's a family crest based off the castle, too. One of my relatives (a great-uncle или something) has our crest tattooed on his arm.

Born and live in Australia, but both sets of grandparents were Greek refugees. My ancestors also lived in Turkey for generations when there was a strong Greek presence there, so we have some Turkish influence in our familial culture as well :) First they fled Turkey in the 1920s to Greece, then Greece itself after WW2 to escape the ruins that the Nazis left it in and the ensuring Civil War.

They've flittered from Australia to Greece to Australia ever since. I still try to keep in touch with my Greek side- the Еда is delicious, the history inspiring, the language great (especially useful for trying to learn all that science terminology, lol) and the music/dancing amazingly fun.

Short Story: I'm a United States-born Caucasian/Native American.
I don't look Native American, though- I look very German. Some members of my maternal relatives look very Native American, though.

Long Story: I have a rather intricate family background. My ancestry comes from Germany, Great Britain & Ireland, Scandinavia, and a couple of different possible Native American tribes. (I'm not sure of which tribe because my great grandmother didn't like to talk about it.) I have ancestors who fought in the American Revolution(as well as all other American wars aside from the Последнее War on Terrorism) on both sides, but some of my еще ancestors were immigrants. My paternal great-grandparents were both immigrants- one from Canada and the other from Norway. Several of my еще Последнее maternal ancestors were immigrants as well from Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and England. As I understand it, our English ancestry dates back to Celtic times before the Romans или Anglo-Saxons went to Britain. I believe our German line is very old as well.

Basically because Ты mentioned in your answer that your ancestors fought in ALL of the American wars including the American Revolution/Revolutionary War and so I can certainly imagine that they must have fought in the Civil War as well and it turns out I was right all along. Which is why I ask Ты that particular Вопрос

I was born and raised in the USA.

My biological parents didn't raise me, but....

Birthfather: As far as I know (or according to my sister) he's of Italian decent. That's all I know, and that's if what she says is true. I'll have to ask her again.

Birthmother: I'm assuming a bit of Irish in there, because my grandmother says she is 1/16 Irish and something else. IDK.

Sorry, I never don't have a clear understanding of our heritage. I mean, it is kinda cool in way, but I personally don't give two damns what race/nationality I am. Race is just a simple matter of appearance, DNA and all that biological crap. Race doesn't affect my personality one bit.

No. New Zealand has been established long enough that NZ European is as I would identify as. But if we are talking way, way back, then of course NZ was taken by the British. But I would never consider us British, I only go as far to consider us as NZ European.
