What do Ты prefer? read the book first then watch the movie, или watch the movie first then read the book? why?

I prefer to read then watch, but the way I've done it was watch then read. But still read then watch. And honestly I chose that because people should read еще then watch. Plus, read it before so Ты have an idwa about the movie.;-)
